Zach Marks who's 16 now was just 11 years old when he realized that kids needed a safe alternative to Facebook. He came up with GromSocial.com to solve the problem. He now has 1.8 million kids signed up at the site and the sky is the limit. He's thinking about going public and taking his company to the next level. Entrepreneurism isn't dead yet in the US, it's just moving to the next generation.

One of the reasons we go to conferences such as the New Orleans Investment Conference is to find innovative new companies that do things differently or better. Growth Equity Group is a perfect example. They take people's IRA's, help turn them into Self-Directed IRA's and then provide a turnkey real estate solution, complete property management and financing. You'll be buying property in places like Virginia and Omaha, Nebraska. Stable markets with great fundamentals. Cash on cash returns can be amazing and if you throw modest appreciation, the results can be spectacular. Definitely worth a look. For more information on self-directed IRA's click here

A hit-and-run victim feels her pleas for help were tossed aside after it took NOPD nearly a day to get to the crime scene at her Mid-City home. NOPD Chief Michael Harrison blames the wait on a lack of manpower and says the officers he does have are dealing with more violent crimes that take more time. click the link below for the full story. http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2015/10/nopd_response_slow_hit_run_vic.html

Nevada Gold production has been declining for the past decade, not for want of trying. Now are new partner Wade Hodges CEO of Nevada Exploration Inc., may have come up with the solution. There's as much gold in the ground in Nevada as has already been mined. The key is finding it. Wade has many successes under his belt and his newest venture is looking for gold in the state's valleys, rather than it's mountains. He's doing it by testing numerous water wells around the state. The technique holds great promise, not just for gold but other minerals as well. This could be the antidote to declining gold production in many other places around the world as well.

When it comes to the resource sector there are few equals to Rick Rule. While the sector has been decimated over the past four years, Rick hasn't given up. He's buying quality at greatly discounted prices. He's looking at stocks with good balance sheets, great management and staying power. And he sees no shortage of these companies out there in the current market. He believes that the bear market in resource stocks has gotten rid of the worthless companies, which shouldn't have been publicly traded in the first place. Now, it's a discount shopper's quality paradise that will eventually pay-off big time!

Sprott Global's Jason Stevenson joined us today for a look at the resource sector in an effort to get a handle on what's coming up next. While we can at least expect more of the same for the short run, things might be looking up. In addition, likes Input Capital. They've taken a page from the royalty stream stocks like Silver Wheaton and are buying future production of Canadian canola growers, thus providing needed working capital for farmers who don't have a lot of choices. The concept is catching now and we're seeing rapid growth now.

Danielle wrote an amazing post on her site JugglingDynamite.com. It sums up in a short number of paragraphs, with just two charts, why every investor needs to consider the timing of their market investments. Stocks that are very "safe" can be very dangerous to invest in when their prices are at near market tops. The converse is true as well, "risky" stocks can be great investments when purchased at the cycle bottom. How do you determine when to buy is extremely important and potentially dangerous. How many more failures can today's Baby Boom Generation sustain?

Bruce Deitrick Price says, "The traditional view is simply stated: the purpose of public education is to take each child as far as each child can be taken. Who can disagree with that? If a school is aiming for less, that school would seem to me to be guilty of malpractice or false advertising. Doesn’t the word “education” imply a striving for excellence? At the end of each school year, children are presumed to know more than at the start. Isn’t that a reasonable presumption? Somewhat bizarrely, given what’s going on in our public schools, the Education Establishment might claim they agree.Oh yes, of course, that’s exactly what we want to do.
But that’s not what they have been doing for a long time."

Corporate profits are coming in awful this quarter. From Walmart to Morgan Stanley to many others, the bloom is off the rose. McDonalds is doing terribly, with many franchisees underwater. How much longer can the stock market hold out? If it follows the Martin Armstrong prognosis, then it's going much higher as capital from around the world seeks safer havens. If not, the market will go down with the earnings ship.

During this time he has helped thousands of individuals realize their dreams by building portfolios of single family homes. Alasdair MacLeod joined us today after a long hiatus on the show. He explained that by devaluing their currency, the Chinese have made it impossible or extremely dangerous for the Fed to raise interest rates. In the meantime, the Chinese move ahead with their plan for world domination and there's apparently nothing standing in their way. They're reconfiguring their economy to make it more Asian-centric and while this is a lengthy process, the end is a significant de-emphasis of the West in terms of importance to the World Economy. Will it work? Alasdair believes that they might just pull it off.

Bo Polny believes that the stock market has hit its peak and it's all down from here, with some fits and starts of course. The dollar's future isn't looking so bright either. But gold and silver are looking very good. Both of them have broken 4 year descending wedges. This is an extremely bullish pattern and Bo believes it's the start of something big. November is a dangerous month for stocks and gold could see significant movement by the end of the year. It's definitely getting interesting.

Dr. Gerard Lameiro joined us today for a wide ranging discussion of the presidential race. Trump still continues to dominate in poll after poll. Carson is number 2 and Cruz is number 3. Candidates will soon start dropping like flies in a Raid factory. Pataki, Graham, Christie are all potential former candidates. But pretty soon we'll be down to less than 10 and then the fun will begin.

John reviewed what has been well documented, the Big (Too Big To Fail or Jail) Banks are having a fresh new round of trouble. Seems like their core businesses aren't making enough to keep the lights on, which is leading to a fresh new round of massive losses and lay-offs. Deutsche Bank has taken a nearly $7 billion charge. Standard Chartered, HSBC and a host of others are laying off staff. Banks again need to raise massive capital. And now it appears they're losing some of their political backing, which was the key to their immunity from prosecution. What's next? Hopefully smaller banks with less power, but there's going to be lots of pain before we get there.

Can the system carry on without them? Will the Petrodollar soon cease to exist once these entities are gone? Interesting questions that Bix has the answer to and more.
