Lynette Sang joined us for an interesting discussion of central banking and crypto/klepto-currencies. The Fed orchestrated the Crash of 1929. It was basically a wealth redistribution scheme and it worked quite well. Now we're approaching a global economic reset where the coin of the realm will be SDR's (special drawing rights) issued by the IMF. What could go wrong? They've got your back, right? Also, Lynette believes the crypto-currencies could easily be a scheme to get you to give up your paper currency. Lot's more here, so listen carefully.

Rob Long has done the impossible. BIGLY is Regnery’s fun, new book, edited by Cheers writer Rob Long, that turns the best of Trump’s infamous quotes and tweets into poetic verse! Trust me, in this vicious news cycle, you won’t want to miss this hilarious comedic break. It's funny and like all great humor, it has the seed of truth.

Danielle quotes, '"A buoyant and complacent stock market is worrying Richard H. Thaler, the University of Chicago professor who this week won the Nobel Prize in economics, “We seem to be living in the riskiest moment of our lives, and yet the stock market seems to be napping...'"

We're living through the most complacent market on record. All the bears have given up and gone home, which often happens before a correction.

Danielle's final word of caution, "The only really bad way to be wrong is to lose a ton of money."

Jeremy Poirier has over 12 years of experience in the capital markets, with 8 of that in the Lithium industry, making him one of the most knowledgeable insiders around. He was a co-founder of Pure Energy Minerals Limited. During his tenure with there, he reviewed numerous lithium assets and fostered relationships with various partners throughout the supply chain. He started Bearing Lithium to exploit the amazing opportunities in Lithium. Prices are now in the $15k per ton range, whereas just a few short years ago they were less than $5k. Demand for Lithium continues to increase geometrically in a variety of areas. Truly an emerging growth industry/success story.

Joe Messina joined us today. Host of The RealSide. California has now become a sanctuary state. Isn't it wonderful? Where did this once great state go wrong? Has common sense fled the state along with Red Voters? Is there any hope that they can find their way again. Probably not in our lifetimes.

We're in the era of the mega-hacker. Equifax, 145.5 millions records stollen, Yahoo 3 billion accounts compromised, Target, etc., etc. Where will it end. As if natural disasters aren't enough, now we're left to deal with what happens when the internet goes down, like in Puerto Rico. Is it the end of life as they know it?

Trump’s tax plan could be a big win for retirement savers
Whatever you might think of our current president, you can’t say he doesn’t think big.

The Trump-GOP tax plan just announced has the potential to affect retirement savers in fundamental, long-term ways that could be positive for many Americans. The plan is a long way from reality and is likely to see some changes before becoming law.

For now, here’s the thumbnail version:

• Corporate taxes fall to 20% from the current 35% (and some business deductions end)

• A possible one-time lower rate on repatriated corporate income held abroad, perhaps at 10%

• A 25% rate on “pass-through businesses,” whose owners now pay higher, personal income rates

• Three tax brackets — 12%, 25% and 35% — rather than the current seven

• A near-doubling of the standard deduction, the first dollar of income taxed, to $12,000 per individual and $24,000 for married couples

There’s more, such as a possible refundable child tax credit and the repeal of the estate tax, but let’s focus on what happens to the retirement investor.

If you work and make enough money to save, chances are you save into a 401(k) plan at work or put money into a personal IRA. So far, so good.

Nothing is as ever as it seems. All of us regularly experience total information overload. Facts rush at us from every source imaginable, radio, television, social media, the government, zillions of independent sites and of course the established (mainstream) legacy media. Once upon a time in land not so far away, the MSM would actually follow leads, attempt to get to the bottom of stories by connecting the dots. And they’d do it without a hidden agenda. Not anymore!

Next, gold and silver ended the week higher with gold over $1300 per ounce and silver at $17.41. Probably higher from here, but let's save the champagne for now.

Airbnb entrepreneurs find a way. Even though the Hotel Industry has put the government on Airbnb's case, where there's a will, there's a way. Many of NYC's Airbnb listings come from Brooklyn's Hipster class. For them free speech is evil, some free markets are good! Go figure.

And NY's obnoxious senator Chuckie Schumer is after e-Cigs yet again. Perhaps he's in the tobacco industry's pocket. Or maybe he really does care about the children.

The civil rights movement of the 1960's is dead. Now it's all about identity politics. It does nothing for members of the group that have been left behind. The Southern Poverty Law Center which shuffles money around the globe better than a drug cartel. They're now a cure in search of a disease. Once you've won the battle against institutional racism, what's left? Now they're all about getting more contributions and have a vested interest in seeing racial incidents occur.

Beware, 2017 is the 7th year of the decade. Beware! This is the year when major corrections occur. 2007, 1997, 1987, 1977... Traders and markets are so complacent, they've left themselves open to a major correction. Just like you wouldn't want to be in a trailer during a Cat 5 storm, the same with being fully invested in the market with a potential Cat 5 economic storm approaching. Complete complacency with extremely low volume.

What will Janet Yellen do? What effect will reducing the Fed's balance have upon the economy. Is it a potential black swan? Right now the market's have priced in the Trump Tax Cut. What will happen if it doesn't become a reality? There's much uncertainty in the world now and the risks could be getting higher.

Some people believe the Gods are crazy and others believe Trump is nuts and still others believe that North Koreans are really insane. Who's right? Dr. Paul Kengor believes that the North Koreans are rational and following a definite strategy in their confrontation with the US and the World. He thinks that they believe, due to prior treatment, that nothing will done to stop their nuclear desires. And China couldn't care less. But then that was before Trump. Perhaps now they're unsure and just maybe will back off. Things are happening behind the scenes. Let's see what happens next!

Is this deja vu all over again? Chicago fighting the mob and a great depression and looking for a way into the future.

Al Capone and the 1933 World’s Fair: The End of the Gangster Era in Chicago is a historical look at Chicago during the darkest days of the Great Depression. The story of Chicago fighting the hold that organized crime had on the city to be able to put on The 1933 World’s Fair.

William Hazelgrove provides the exciting and sprawling history behind the 1933 World’s Fair, the last of the golden age. He reveals the story of the six millionaire businessmen, dubbed The Secret Six, who beat Al Capone at his own game, ending the gangster era as prohibition was repealed. The story of an intriguing woman, Sally Rand, who embodied the World’s Fair with her own rags to riches story and brought sex into the open. The story of Rufus and Charles Dawes who gave the fair a theme and then found financing in the worst economic times the country had ever experienced. The story of the most corrupt mayor of Chicago, William Thompson, who owed his election to Al Capone; and the mayor who followed him, Anton Cermak, who was murdered months before the fair opened by an assassin many said was hired by Al Capone.

But most of all it’s the story about a city fighting for survival in the darkest of times; and a shining light of hope called A Century of Progress.

Matt Nye was all over the Trump Tax Reform Plan. It doesn't really reform the abusive tax code at all. First again our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and the loved ones involved in the Las Vegas Massacre. There are just no words to describe the horror.

John and I discussed the Catalonian succession vote in Spain. Seems that the powers that be didn't want to see it happen and attacked innocent people who were voting. There were hundreds of injuries for absolutely now reason. And the vote, largely symbolic, still went to independence. As John says, "It's easy for a small area to setup a country these days."

Next we talked about the Mainstream Media and the NFL. They're both going down the tubes together. Next mess with your brand. It's like the Grammies, the Emmies and every other award show. When you upset half your audience, bad things are going to happen.

Ret. Detective Ralph Friedman's record on the New York City Police Department reads like a crime thriller. 2,000 arrests. 100 off-duty arrests. 6,000 assists. 15 shootings. 8 shot. 4 kills. These are not the performance statistics of an entire NYPD unit. They are the record that makes Detective 2nd Grade Ralph Friedman a legend.

Friedman was arguably the toughest cop ever to wear the shield and was the most decorated detective in the NYPD’s 170-year history. Stationed at the South Bronx’s notorious 41 Precinct, known by its nickname “Fort Apache,” Friedman served during one of the city’s most dire times: the 1970s and ‘80s, when fiscal crisis, political disillusionment, an out-of-control welfare system, and surging crime and drug use were just a few of its problems.

Street Warrior tells an unvarnished story of harrowing vice and heroic grit, including Friedman’s reflections on racial profiling, confrontations with the citizens he swore to protect, and the use of deadly force. And there's now a television series based upon his work on Investigative Discovery, Street Justice: Bronx.

Timothy Trainer is extremely alarmed about the counterfeiting epidemic. The global economic value of counterfeiting and piracy could reach $2.3 trillion by 2022, with job losses totaling in excess of 5 million. Counterfeiting is a growing and increasingly dangerous global problem. It can threaten the health, safety and livelihoods of consumers, as well as the economic competitiveness of the territories in which they live.

The call has been made for Government to do more. Have they answered? What can they do to control these numbers? As usual the answer lies with technology and perhaps the blockchain.

Martin Armstrong joined us today for a review of the global economic landscape. Hurricanes aren't just in the Atlantic, but all over the world's economies. The rush into the stock markets continues and will keep on going. Faith in governments and socialism keep going down and down. The democratic party is in a multi-generational bear market with no end in sight. Finally, the stock market is on course to double from it's present level. It's the only game in town. Bitcoin will be prohibited by governments. Eventually all countries will go electronic currency. The dollar is poised to remain the reserve currency until it rises too high, which will require a world-wide meeting to remedy.

While @Andy_Hoffman_CG still loves gold, he says it's becoming an extremely boring topic, given how powerful government control (for now) has become on the gold market. He's now spending 90% of his time on Bitcoin/crypto.

Today's principal topic is the “Bitcoin Big Bang”, when Draghi said of crypto, “it would actually not be in our powers to prohibit and regulate them.”

Also, the upcoming SegWit 2x and B-Gold hard forks, exploding 2018 crypto capital and investment spending, and whether Litecoin is “silver to Bitcoin’s gold.”

@GeraldCelente of @TrendsJournal joined us today. Gerald is thinking that #Bitcoin, etc., is just another manifestation of populism. People are waking up to what governments are all about and that's leading to other ways to store value outside the government sanctioned systems. Gold is in a upward pattern but needs to break $1400 for the next move upward, which could be parabolic once it does. And Gerald also forecast the election of Trump and the rising stock market, adding to his record.
