Best selling author Stephen Coonts joins FSN again to discuss his latest thriller. In an art imitates life novel, Stephen examines what would happen if a foreign power did in fact interfere in a US election. What would the intelligence services do? What would the people do? Is it even possible? As Stephen said, election fraud has been with us since the beginning. What if a foreign actor took it to the next level?

John and I have a lengthy discussion about Bitcoin and crypto-currencies. We go over their use as money, their future impact and how governments might react to their ascendancy. Will they be married with gold in the future, to create the ultimate non-inflationary currency? Will they eventually be embraced by government across the globe? There’s so many questions about this phenomena and so few answers.

Doug joined us for a follow-up to his speech at the New Orleans Investment Conference. Doug expressed his reservations about the survival of Western Civilization. Between the dumbing down of the population, unrestrained migration and a generally coarsening of discourse, the individual's sovereignty is under attack. It's faced other challenges in the past, but perhaps this time is different. We had better wake up quickly.

Richard Cella sees much to be optimistic about concerning the economy and the stock market. But it's priced to perfection and there's many things that can go wrong. It's also priced to include a big tax cut and there's much doubt on the horizon concerning that accomplishment. But you never know how long the good times will keep rolling.

John Grisham's new book goes after the fraudulent for-profit law school industry. That's right, it's based upon a true story/scam. But what enables these private pirates to pull these scams off and ruin people's lives in the process? Simple, unlimited government issued student loans. In the case of for-profit law schools, they take students that no self-respecting law school would admit. They run up the student loans to $200k and then the students must pass the bar exam (less than half do) and get a job that pays enough to start paying down student loans. And this is legal? More like legal theft.

The magic stocks, Apple, Facebook, Google, Amazon just keep chugging along. And the market keeps going higher and higher. Part of it's earnings and part of it is lack of investment alternatives. Sam says the market will keep going up until it doesn't anymore, and then look out below. A trend in motion, stays in motion, until it stops. But when will the Wall Street Merry-go-Round come to a crashing halt?

Former NH Supreme Court Judge Stephen Thayer writes, "In August, the FBI Counterterrorism Division produced a report entitled “Black Identity Extremists (BIE) Likely Motivated to Target Law Enforcement Officers.” The report states that Black Identity Extremists are killing law enforcement officers and warns there is a high likelihood they will continue to do so. The left takes issue with the report and continues to mislead the public. One would think Americans, regardless of race, color, creed or political persuasion would stand forcefully against the unlawful killing of anyone, particularly the assassination of law enforcement officers. However, the usual suspects like The Washington Post, ACLU and Black Lives Matter don’t address that issue because it’s contained in a report that doesn’t reflect the liberal narrative that U.S. law enforcement is infected by systemic racism. They are quick to renounce violence by extremists on the right but they don’t want you to know about the extremists on the left."

Judge Thayer destroys the myth of institutionalized police racism.

Last month was the 30th Anniversary of the famous October stock market crash in 1987 in which nearly 25% of the market value dropped in one day... as well as being infamous for the original stock market crash on October 28th, 1929. Black Monday, usually in late October, is associated with ominous events, turbulence, and calamities.

Gerard believes that all the pieces are now in place for an unprecedented political crisis in Washington. In the short run, I’m concerned that many Americans will fear for the nation’s good health. In the long term, I believe America will survive and thrive past Black Monday in Washington 2017. However, I think our long-term outlook is still rock solid, optimistic, and good.

Trump tax cut not until 2018? Infrastructure? Who knows. Rates are headed higher, probably at a slower rate than Yellen promised. The tax cut is a mixed bag for individuals, however it will be a Godsend for smaller businesses that are currently taxed at much higher rates. Jordan sees it happening early next year. Let's see who's right. But no matter how badly the government screws, the market always finds a solution!

Eddie Ghabour has been saying for quite a while that the bull market in stocks is the real thing. He believes that tax reform, especially on the corporate side will become a reality, sooner or later. It's going to be a boon for small businesses around the country. And it will spur employment and growth. It's just a question of when it goes through, this year or next.

We talked with Ned Schmidt about the impending increase in precious metals. He's ultra bullish. He doesn't believe that Bitcoin can take gold's place as the ultimate insurance policy against stupid government. He's very bullish on Ag. Circumstances favor a lot different commodities going up and up.

Adam Mesh, noted financial expert and frequent guest on financial shows joined us today. He's very skeptical of the market, except he sees nothing driving it lower for the foreseeable future. The market is controlled by algorithms and bots, so what could possibly go wrong? He believes that in many cases options provide the chance for significant returns while limiting risk. Worth a try? A fun interview that really sheds light on the absurdity of the status quo.
