We sat down with Mickey Fulp, the Mercenary Geologist for an in depth review of the markets and their peformance in 2013. Obviously the place to be was stocks. The Dow put in an incredible performance, but the Nasdaq and Russell 2000 really outdid themselves. This was the second year in a row! Forget about gold, the dollar, etc. In energy the place to be was the merry widowmaker a/k/a Natural Gas, which chalked up big gains, especially in the latter part of 2013. The best short was in the 10 Year Treasury where rates went up over 70 percent! These are the kinds of insights you just can't get else where. Listen carefully and you might just get a few clues on where 2014 is heading.
