Antonin Scalia's recent passing was truly a loss to American Jurisprudence. The well-mannered high intellect attempted to do the impossible, restore the Supreme Court to where the rule of law reigns supreme. To some extent he was effective, however, the thought that the law determines the case, rather than the case determining the law, still has some ways to go. Kevin Ring, has updated his book on Scalia's Court: A Legacy of Landmark Opinions and Dissents. In this well done volume, we get a rare insight into a man who always put the law above all else.
