Beginning in the 1960’s almost all traditional American values of service, assimilation, incremental, generational improvement have been attacked.
With the latest attempt to attack the reputations of our founding fathers, a long simmering notion that forces are at work trying to destroy America’s heritage may in fact be happening. Attacks on George Washington, churches, political institutions, family values, and the concept of the melting pot makes one wonder if this is all true.
The rule of consensus is being replaced by “group advantage.” We are seeing fundamental changes in our public discourses which undermine America’s original intent “out of many, one.”
